KEVIN HOGARTH

OVERVIEW

Kevin is a relationship focused, results-orientated expert in people, culture and organisation transformation and turnarounds which includes 18 years in non-executive roles and 40 years in professional and financial services, education, charity and healthcare sectors. He is particularly effective in organisations where the key business driver is the attraction, retention and development of world class talent. Kevin makes sound judgements based on business imperatives, with an empowering management style which makes him fun to work with.

Kevin’s calm and thoughtful approach, strong relationship building skills and ability to ask insightful questions makes him an effective and trusted business adviser and leadership coach. He is able to stand back and see the big picture, helping leaders make strategic decisions which deliver significant transformations. Kevin has deep expertise in advising boards and executive teams as they seek to make their organisations more diverse workplaces with strong inclusive cultures.

CAREER

Kevin is a business adviser, leadership coach and a non-executive director. He sits on the boards of the The Law Society of England and Wales, Dimensions UK and Betterspace. He combines this with his advisory work where he primarily focuses on organisational leadership, succession planning, governance and EDI. Kevin’s career began at Boots plc (now Walgreens Boots Alliance) in recruitment and then in HR roles in Abbey National, EY and Capital One and as Global Human Resources Director at one of the world’s pre-eminent international law firms, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP. As Global Director of People and Culture at Norton Rose Fulbright and then Chief People Officer at KPMG LLP, Kevin’s broad experience helped provide leadership through the pandemic, overseeing the well-being response and transition to hybrid working.

QUALIFICATIONS

Kevin has been a coach for over 15 years and is currently refreshing his coaching qualification with Meyler Campbell.

AWARDS

During his time at KPMG Kevin was voted one of the ‘Most Influential HR Practitioners – HR Magazine’ and was named in the ‘Top 35 Advocates in the INvolve Heroes Women Role Models' list, which showcases leaders who are championing women in business and driving change for gender diversity in the workplace. He was also included as one of the 'Top 50 Ally Executives in the Outstanding LGBT+ Role Models' list.

PERSONAL

Outside of work Kevin devotes time to pro-bono activities. For example he is currently a Trustee on the Board of a Multi-Academy Trust based in East London. Kevin lives in London with his wife Shami. He has two adult children from his first marriage. A proud Geordie, Kevin is a devoted and often disappointed supporter of Newcastle United.
