James started out as a strategy consultant before a career in banking and finance. He worked in equities then having obtained a Masters in Finance joined HSBC’s real estate business structuring big ticket financings for investment and development deals.  



James is passionate about creating real shift in his client’s lives. He integrates the best thinking from clinical, neural and behavioural sciences to provide a robust set of coaching protocols that deliver results. He helps busy people to “reset” so they feel better, think more clearly, lead and execute better. Learning to manage their energy levels, they show up brilliantly every day.



James started his career in the strategy division of Andersen Consulting in London and New York. He moved to join JP Morgan’s equity business and worked for Dresdner Kleinwort Benson before heading up the alternative equity product for BNP Paribas’ push into European hedge fund coverage. After time out to do a Masters in Finance at Cass, he returned to the City joining HSBC’s real estate business, structuring big ticket financings for investment and development deals in the UK and Europe.  

In 2009, James transitioned into executive coaching and applies breakthrough discoveries in neuroscience to his coaching work. He has worked with clients in Finance, Professional and Legal, Industry, Media and Start-ups.



James is a member of the Association for Coaching, The Neuroleadership Institute and a qualified practitioner of PRISM Brain Mapping. He has a practising licence from the Career Counselling Services (CCS). He is interested in the neurobiology of stress and has  participated in Ph.D research with MacLean Hospital Harvard.



James lives in Sussex with his two children and the obligatory dog. Outside of work, he serves as a Board Trustee for ChildAid Eastern Europe, is a member of the Mid Sussex Chorus and Worth Choral Society and plays terrible cricket for local wandering sides in the summer. He is also an accomplished pianist having trained classically but now preferring to play jazz and blues either solo or with various bands.
